Some studies have shown that given very young children a sugar solution (or a sucker from the doctor’s drawer) before, not after, the shot reduces the child’s crying.
Water to be treated that is colder than 68 degrees F will take longer. A warmer solution of the original mixture from the bottle will have a higher concentration of iodine. So, fewer capfuls will be required, and more water can be treated before refilling the Polar Pure bottle. You can warm the bottle in your pocket or in sunlight.
